Import a Word CSED for review
Stage an existing Word CSED beside the hub’s linked evidence so staff can review its claims. Importing does not overwrite judgement-area narratives, set working grades or approve an inspection document.
1. Prepare the right document
Section titled “1. Prepare the right document”Open Leadership → Faith inspection → CSI / Section 48 → Records → Word CSED import. Use a .docx file up to 20 MB. If it is too large, remove unnecessary large images and save a smaller copy. An old .doc, PDF or corrupt Word archive is not the supported format.
Give the nine sub-judgements recognisable headings, such as Religious Education – Provision, so the mapper can distinguish Catholic Life & Mission, Religious Education and Collective Worship through outcomes, provision and leadership. A heading match does not validate the paragraph beneath it.
2. Inspect the staged mapping
Section titled “2. Inspect the staged mapping”Choose Import Word CSED and select the intended file. Wait for the result. For every staged section, read the target area, original heading, imported text and any Evidence linked / No linked evidence marker.
A label match means the text names something linked in Student Radar, not that its claim has been independently verified or that every quoted source is available. Inspect the actual evidence, its date, population, source version and missingness. If the panel says a claim mentions evidence that is not linked yet, resolve that gap before relying on it.
Read Not found in this document as missing mapped sections, not “not applicable”. If no sub-judgement headings were found, improve the headings in Word and import the corrected file again. Do not assign a paragraph to an unrelated area merely to remove a warning.
3. Copy only after review, then save deliberately
Section titled “3. Copy only after review, then save deliberately”Copy AI draft payload copies the staged mapping and its evidence context to the clipboard. Check the Copied result or browser clipboard-failure message. It does not invoke a generation, apply the imported text to the working record or authorise sending it to another service.
Use the reviewed wording in the intended Self-evaluation → Judgement area → Current narrative, adapting it to the current cycle and mission, then Save narrative. Save strengths/development priorities separately where needed. Reopen the actual area to check the retained wording and preserve uncertain or unsupported claims as questions rather than facts.
4. Prepare the right eventual output
Section titled “4. Prepare the right eventual output”Before Export audience → CSED, review all required areas, working grades, compliance/AFI inputs, missing evidence and audience-sensitive text. A staged import or a successful download is not an external submission or an inspector’s decision.
For the wider process, see Use CSI / Section 48. A document that cannot be read should be saved again as valid .docx; a parser failure is not proof the original evidence is absent.
