Assess / KS4 Measures

KS4 results, Attainment 8 and Progress 8 coverage

Student Radar helps secondary assessment staff enter KS4 grades, review qualification mappings and inspect Attainment 8 coverage and Progress 8 prerequisites. The selected cohort, exam series and missing evidence remain part of the school model.

The workspace presents a reviewed school model. Staff verify eligibility, priors, source references and coverage; a model total does not establish official performance or teaching impact.

The selected end-of-KS4 year and visible-pupil/whole-cohort coverage give the headline its meaning. Fictional example.

The headline and the evidence behind it

Keep the KS4 grade, series and reviewed model together.

Enter and verify results for the correct end-of-KS4 cohort and exam series, then inspect reviewed qualification mappings and model prerequisites.

  1. 01

    Choose the actual exam series

The result grid separates a saved grade in this series from a reference grade in another series.

  2. 02

    Correct the stored grade deliberately

Enter the actual grade and return to the same cohort, subject and series to check the saved result.

  3. 03

Read the subject slots behind the model

Reviewed mappings and empty/unusable entries matter alongside an Attainment 8 total.

Assessment evidence staff can interpret and verify

The workspace presents a reviewed school model. Staff verify eligibility, priors, source references and coverage; a model total does not establish official performance or teaching impact.

Results corrected in the right series

Cohort, pupil, subject and exam-series identity stay together when staff update the actual grade.

A model that can be checked

Qualification definitions, binding counts and element slots explain how the reviewed results contribute.

Unavailable measures kept honest

Missing priors, cohort baseline exclusions, suppressed groups and population differences remain visible before reporting.

Questions about KS4 Measures

Can we import grades for a specific KS4 cohort and exam series?

Yes. Choose the end-of-KS4 year and actual exam series, then review the proposed CSV changes before importing and checking stored results.

Can we see why a Progress 8 value is unavailable?

Yes. Review the required KS2 records, qualification setup and model prerequisites. Missing prerequisites do not justify inventing a value or an official measure.

The value of a connected school

Learning makes more sense with the context beside it.

Bring assessment evidence into the conversations already happening around a pupil, a class or a school priority.

Follow a connection to see what it makes possible

Relevant context, with access set by each staff member’s role and responsibilities. Staff decide the response.

  1. Attendance + Assess

Ask what learning the pupil could access

Review attendance alongside recorded attainment before planning the next teaching response. Staff can investigate gaps without treating absence as an explanation on its own.

  2. SEND + Assess

Look at progress against the pupil’s targets

Keep small steps, support targets and provision evidence in reach, so the review reflects the pupil’s learning and the support staff have recorded.

  3. Leadership + Assess

Carry the evidence into school improvement

Use assessment and outcomes alongside attendance and behaviour reporting to test school priorities, assign actions and come back to the evidence at review.
