Why this exists
Most schools already have the information they need to spot a pupil in difficulty. It’s just scattered across six systems, three spreadsheets, a CPOMS export from last Tuesday, and the bit of paper a TA wrote on at break.
Student Radar exists because that arrangement, for all its long and respectable history, isn’t working. The pupils who fall through the gaps are almost always the ones whose signals lived in different places and never quite met in the same room at the same time.
We bring those signals together. Attendance, behaviour, SEND, safeguarding, pastoral notes: one view of the whole child, updated as the day goes on, visible to the people who need it and nobody who doesn’t.

Student Radar was founded by Stuart Armley-Jones, a former Assistant Head and SENCo with 13 years’ experience in schools. He left the classroom in December 2025 to build the platform full-time.
But Student Radar is not a one-person project. Our wider team brings together educators, technology leaders and people who have already built successful compliance software used by organisations of every size, from sole traders to global businesses and local authorities.
That combination matters to schools. Frontline experience shapes what we build, while proven software experience shapes how we build it: securely, reliably and with support that does not disappear after onboarding.

Four ideas that shape every decision we make about the product.
The whole-child view shouldn’t require seven logins.
If a SENCo needs to open four tabs to understand one pupil, the tools are working against the people using them.
Early is cheaper than late.
For schools, for families, for the pupil. Most of what gets called “early intervention” in education isn’t early. It’s just slightly less late.
