Teach / Room Dashboard
Student Radar helps EYFS staff track who is in the room, check the day’s changes and open a child’s care or support information from a working room board.
Room marks complement the formal attendance register. Staff still carry out physical checks and use the school’s established care and emergency procedures.
Questions for the working day
Open the intended class room and review today’s marks. Record an arrival or departure, check the resulting state and use eligible Undo when a tap was mistaken.
Open the correct child’s sheet for available Nappy, Sleep and Meal entries through Care & Daily Diary. Record the observed outcome and check the updated state. A sleep-check cue still needs human observation.
Use the room roll call to tick off children physically accounted for. Remaining checks stay visible. Ticks are local to that device/session and clear when the roll call closes; this is not a saved emergency register.
Follow the day timeline, permitted needs and care-plan links, or open the room from its class to review adult sign-ins. Available controls depend on room and child access.
A working room check
The roll-call count supports the staff member’s check without turning a local tick into a saved attendance record.
Staff verify who is present, record observed care and follow the relevant source.
The Room Dashboard provides a child sheet and routes to care and support information, alongside Day so far and room adult sign-in.
No. The room board complements the attendance register. Marking a child in or out does not take or correct the formal register.

The value of a connected school
The register, seating plan and markbook sit around the same pupils and the support their teachers need to understand.
