My Actions: keep due work and pupil follow-up in view

Student Radar helps school staff find due work, organise personal tasks and follow through on assigned pupil actions, while linking specialist work back to its source.

Choose the honest outcome and review the underlying evidence. Completing work does not prove an improvement for the pupil.

Fictional example work. Check pupil identity at the source before changing a pupil action.

Owned work

From what is due to a recorded response

Inbox, Board, Handed to others and Closed support different parts of the workflow. Each item keeps the controls appropriate to its source.

  1. 01

    Find what needs attention

Review Inbox, search loaded actions and filter the work. Use Board for supported items and check warnings when reads are incomplete.

  2. 02

    Make the next step owned

Add a personal task or pupil action for yourself. Use supported hand-over controls for an open pupil action, and follow actions you created under Handed to others.

  3. 03

    Record how it ended

Choose the honest outcome. A pupil action can book a separate review action when there is no change yet; linked specialist work opens its own record.

The next step

Keep ownership and outcomes visible

Waiting, snooze, hand-over and completion describe different states. Personal tasks and specialist records do not all have the same controls.

  • Due dates, priorities and follow-up reminders where supported
  • Pupil-action outcomes and separate review work
  • Source links for specialist responses

A clear next step with a clear owner

Review the response separately from its effect on the pupil.

Questions about My Actions

Does My Actions distinguish personal tasks from pupil work?

Yes. Personal tasks, pupil actions and linked specialist records have different controls and ways of finishing. Identify the item type before updating it.

Can staff plan work on a board?

My Actions includes Board for planning the next step, alongside ways to review ownership, hand work over and revisit Closed work.

The value of a connected school

See the pattern. Bring the context.

A change in attendance or behaviour is the start of a conversation. The connected pupil record helps staff ask a better next question.

Follow a connection to see what it makes possible

Relevant context, with access set by each staff member’s role and responsibilities. Staff decide the response.

  1. SEND + Core

Check whether support is reaching the pupil

Put attendance and behaviour alongside plans, provision and review evidence. Staff can investigate missed support before deciding what needs to change.

  2. Health + Core

Bring health needs into the attendance conversation

Authorised staff can check relevant medical needs and care plans when following up absence, then agree practical support with the family.

  3. Family communication + Core

Keep the family conversation with the follow-up

Read the contact history around a pupil before reaching out. Record the next action so another colleague can pick up the conversation with context.
