Connect / Pupil Space

A space for pupils that shows only what the school has chosen to share

Pupils see their homework, reading, targets, forms and class events, and can tell the adults who manage their support plan how a target is going.

Student Radar helps staff communicate clearly and consistently. The school remains responsible for every message and decision.

Pupil Space in action. Pupils see their homework, reading, targets, forms and class events, and can tell the adults who manage their support plan how a target is going.

From communication to follow-up

One space, shared on purpose

Pupils sign in to their own Student Radar space with a username or an emoji password. The school chooses what to share there, and a part with nothing shared yet says so.

  1. 01

    Home and the next step

A greeting, one suggested next step such as the next homework or today’s reading, and cards for books logged, homework due, on-time mornings, upcoming events and targets.

  2. 02

    The parts of the space

Updates and progress the school has shared, recognition, reading, homework, messages, class events, targets, forms and a Help page.

  3. 03

    Feedback on targets

Where a pupil has a support plan and the school shares the targets, the pupil can say whether a target is helping and add a message. Staff who manage the plan can read it and reply.

Evidence in context

Feedback, not live chat

The targets page tells pupils that the staff who manage their support plan read their feedback, and that it is not live chat. The Help page sends nothing on its own: it points pupils to a trusted adult and, where the school uses one, to the Worry Box.

  • Four answers on a target: helping, not helping yet, I want adults to know, I need something different
  • Archived plans stay readable but closed to feedback
  • What the space offers is set in Student App Setup by the people the school chose

What changes when Pupil Space is connected

The value of Pupil Space is the route from current evidence to an accountable next step, with the people and context around the work kept visible.

Pupil views on their own targets, kept with the plan

The value of a connected school

The message is one part of the pupil’s day.

Family communication becomes more useful when the information, response and next school action stay connected.

Follow a connection to see what it makes possible

Relevant context, with access set by each staff member’s role and responsibilities. Staff decide the response.

  1. Health + Connect

Know which health follow-up still needs a reply

First aid and medication records keep parent notification status with the event. Staff can see where follow-up is needed without reconstructing a separate message trail.

  2. SEND + Connect

    Plan participation around the pupil

Trip planning brings consent together with relevant medical and SEND information for authorised staff, so support arrangements can be checked before leaving school.

  3. Assessment + Connect

Make the progress conversation easier to prepare

Use recorded learning and approved reports to prepare family conversations, with the pupil’s evidence close to the discussion and its agreed next steps.
