Needs & adjustments: put practical pupil guidance to use
Student Radar brings permitted plan guidance into a class view so teaching staff can notice changes, prepare cover information and contribute observations to upcoming reviews.
A read receipt records that guidance was seen. It does not prove support was delivered or made a difference. Staff review observations and decide what happens next.
Practical support
Read the guidance, notice changes and contribute to review
Bring available passport, EAL, health-plan and exam-arrangement guidance into the class context, with its source and version kept visible.
01
Find the practical guidance
Read the strategies available for the class beside their source and date. Check coverage before treating an empty or unavailable section as no need.
02
Read and acknowledge changed versions
Use Changed since you read to find updated guidance, then acknowledge the version after reading it. Prepare and check an available cover copy for authorised colleagues.
03
Bring observations into review
Use available weekly observations and upcoming-review workflows to record what staff used and noticed. Open the original plan for its full detail and authorised changes.
Coverage matters
Unavailable guidance is not an empty result
Read source and class coverage before drawing a conclusion. Exam access and Health sections show only the guidance and scope available to the viewer.
A checked handover
Keep cover guidance proportionate and current
Prepare the permitted cover copy, review its contents and use the school’s authorised handover route. The copy does not change its source plans or give the recipient new access.
Keep the next step in context
These are supported staff workflows. The school reviews the evidence, agrees the response and checks its outcome.
Keep version acknowledgements separate from delivery
Contribute classroom observations to an authorised review
Questions about Needs & adjustments
Can staff see when practical guidance has changed?
Needs & adjustments includes a changes review and a way to mark the version as read. Guidance retains its source and coverage so staff can open the full record.
Where should a plan be changed?
Use the original passport, health plan or access-arrangement record for authorised changes. The class view brings guidance together without replacing those specialist records.
