Health / Evacuation Plans

The PEEP: who needs support, what kind, and who provides it.

Keep personal emergency evacuation plans connected to the pupil, the setting and the staff responsible for safe implementation.

Health information is available only to authorised staff and supports, rather than replaces, the school's clinical procedures.

From health need to safe follow-up

From identified need to a plan with names in it

A personal emergency evacuation plan is only useful if it says who does what. This workflow keeps the names attached.

  1. 01

    Identify the need

Record which pupils need a personal emergency evacuation plan, and the setting each plan covers.

  2. 02

    Set out the support

Capture the required support and the staff responsible for providing it, so the plan names people rather than intentions.

  3. 03

    Sign off and activate

Complete the readiness checks, record school sign-off and activate the PEEP, with its review date set.

Evidence in context

Where the plan lives

Each PEEP sits with the pupil it covers, alongside the wider health record for staff whose roles include both.

  • A plan tied to the pupil and the setting it covers
  • Assigned staff able to find their responsibilities
  • Status, readiness gaps and review dates on the register

What changes when Evacuation Plans is connected

The value of Evacuation Plans is the route from current evidence to an accountable next step, with the people and context around the work kept visible.
