School trip planning, consent and field registers

Student Radar helps school teams plan visits, agree approvals and organise people, consent and practical arrangements. The field register supports the day, followed by recorded outcomes, owned learning actions and closure; approval or payment alone does not make a trip ready to depart.

School staff authorise the visit and its exceptions. Approval, family replies, payment and departure readiness remain distinct.

Fictional example in the actual application.

School and family work

From a clear plan to a reviewed next step

Plan the visit, organise consent and practical arrangements, then carry the register and review through the day.

  1. 01

Keep the people and groups clear

Review the actual pupil roster and adult assignments alongside capacity and the school staffing rules. A group assignment does not grant full access to a pupil record.

  2. 02

Read the decision behind each reply

The consent workspace distinguishes granted, declined and outstanding requests. If the terms change, families must make a new decision.

  3. 03

Take a current register into the day

Use checkpoints and separate headcount states. Review whether a copy is saved to this phone and sync queued marks when the connection returns.

Make the next decision easier to follow

A visible next job

Use current readiness checks to find the outstanding work.

A purposeful family request

Keep the consent decision linked to the terms actually issued.

A traceable visit record

Carry register events, incidents and owned learning into the closure review.

Questions about Trips

Can we connect trip planning with consent and the field register?

Yes. Trips connects visit planning, people and consent with the permitted register and safety information used on the day.

Can we record learning actions and closure after the visit?

Yes. After the trip, record what happened, agreed learning actions and the closure decision through their separate controls.

The value of a connected school

The message is one part of the pupil’s day.

Family communication becomes more useful when the information, response and next school action stay connected.

Follow a connection to see what it makes possible

Relevant context, with access set by each staff member’s role and responsibilities. Staff decide the response.

  1. Health + Connect

Know which health follow-up still needs a reply

First aid and medication records keep parent notification status with the event. Staff can see where follow-up is needed without reconstructing a separate message trail.

  2. SEND + Connect

    Plan participation around the pupil
