School payment requests, transactions and refunds

Student Radar helps school finance teams follow payment items, issued requests and confirmed provider transactions. Separate controls support instalments, assistance, refunds and settlements; a financial status does not allocate a place, record consent or mark attendance.

Authorised finance staff review the financial decision. Payment status does not allocate a place, record consent or change attendance.

Fictional example in the actual application.

School operations

Keep the next decision connected to its context

Keep items, requests and provider transactions connected, with separate review for instalments, assistance, refunds and settlements.

  1. 01

Define the payment purpose before issuing requests

Create the appropriate fixed item, school product or voluntary contribution campaign. Classification determines the meaning of the request; a voluntary invitation is not a debt.

  2. 02

Read the provider transaction, not an assumed result

Match the request, recipient and amount to the actual transaction state. Processing, succeeded and refunded describe different outcomes.

  3. 03

Check test and live readiness separately

Review provider status, payment methods, refund controls and release blockers. A ready test account does not turn on live payments.

Make the record practical to use

Authorised finance staff review the financial decision. Payment status does not allocate a place, record consent or change attendance.

A traceable obligation

Keep the purpose, recipient and amount attached to the request.

A precise status

Distinguish a processing attempt from confirmed money received.

A controlled finance decision

Review assistance, instalments and refunds through their own authorised steps.

Questions about Payments

Can payment items be followed through to provider transactions?

Yes. Review the connected item, issued request and provider transaction, checking the actual status of each.

Can we review instalments, assistance and refunds separately?

Yes. Those controls have their own review paths alongside settlement information. Payment confirmation does not establish consent or activity membership.
